Our shipping department is responsible for processing & expediting your order in an efficient and careful manner, so that your equipment arrives at your facility on time and in excellent condition.
Great care is taken in the preparation and packaging of our goods. For Data Storage Systems, Tape Library Systems, Servers, Large Printers and any other large units on wheels, our shipping personnel makes sure that all power cables are secure and inside the cabinets, any ancillary components are bubble wrapped and placed inside the cabinets and that the doors are closed and properly latched. We then stretch wrap the cabinet and place corner protective boards on all corners. As a protective measure against any damage, we foam wrap the cabinet with 1/2’ dense foam wrap and then a second and final wrapping of stretch wrap. We then apply the proper labels and make sure the destination documentation is in order. Once the carrier comes to our facility to load the system, the driver then blanket wraps the system and the system is loaded and then secured in the trailer. Because of the precautions and measures we take in preparation and shipping, we have very few damage claims with our carriers.
On component level items like Disk Units, Processors, Memory, Controller & Channel Circuit Boards, they are handled with static free wrist bands and carefully placed in static free bags. They are then packaged in sturdy foam lined cardboard boxes, labels put on, and ready to ship.
On equipment like Rack Mount Servers, Racks, Terminals, Desktop Printers, Scanners, Laptops, PC’s, or any other desktop type item, they are first placed in static freeplastic bags, and then placed in a sturdy cardboard box. Using a foam applicating nozzle, protective foam is dispensed and conforms to the product that is being shipped.
We generally ship out our component and desktop size hardware with either UPS or Fed-Ex. To track your shipment, click on the appropriate shipper below and enter your airbill number.
